Occasionally you may wish to remove individual comments or complete threads from the Discussion Boards. The following article explains how you can achieve both.
Removing a comment from a thread
If you have permission it is possible to remove an individual comment from a Discussion Board thread. Above each comment you will see a “Remove comment” link:
When the link is clicked you will see the following confirmation message. NOTE: please ensure that you really want to remove this message as it CANNOT be undone.
Once a comment has been removed it ill still appear in place in the thread, but the comment will be replaced with the following text:
Archiving a Thread
It is also possible to archive a complete thread from a board. You might want to do this when the content becomes outdated and is no longer of use. You can archive any thread that is closed.
When the thread is closed you will see a new button at the bottom of the page:
Clicking the ‘Archive’ button will display the following warning message:
If you click yes then the thread will be removed from view. If you need it restored, however, please contact support.
