Managing Your Reports

This section of the user guide gives you an overview of the reports page and describes how to get the most out of WorkInConfidence reports.

The amount of tabs available on this page depends on the modules that are enabled for your organisation. On each tab there are various filtering options. You are also able to favourite a report by clicking the heart in the actions column.

There are two types available: base reports (templates created by us) and saved reports (reports created from these templates by you with potentially more filters applied to them).

To run a report you just have to click on its name.

Report options and creating a report from an existing one

After you run a report you can click ‘Show options’. You now have the ability to add any filters you would like.

Report filters allow you to reduce the amount of data that makes up the report, perhaps by choosing a date range or only selecting certain managers or categories to include. You may add as many filters as you wish and for each one you are able to choose from a number of options which will depend on the type of data. So, for example, you might choose a range that dates are between or one or more categories to include. The amount of filters available depends on each report.

To apply your filters to the current report’s results you can choose ‘Update’. You can also sort the results by clicking on the column header for the column you would like to sort it by.

If you click ‘Update and save as a new report’ you will see a screen similar to the one shown below. Here you can enter the name of the report.

This report can then be favourited just like any other and you can edit or delete it whenever you like. The options available for it are present on the right-hand side when you run the report, as shown below. Printing and exporting to CSV are available to all types of reports, whereas renaming and deleting are only available to saved reports.
